This book is my acceptance, holding my grief in silence, learning to let go of what does not belong to me anymore. This book was written right after Love Poems For A Dollar, when all my wounds were still fresh. I had begun writing on various topics in this book, i believe this book is amilestone for me to shift into being more of a mental health poet, getting bolder on what i am doing.
I have many favourites here but my first favourite is The Jokester; this poem taught me trusting myself with micro poetry, less words and more lethal shot. Eternal Lullaby and Mourning are two hard poems that made me cry for days; again two of my favorites. Now looking back, Apple Candy is probably the poem that gave birth to my book, Rotten Love For Sale-reading back and forth between your books can be interesting like that. Black holds a special place in my heart; this poem was my turning point when i noticed i was the one that was chosen to be the cycle breaker; it was an awakening point for me, this had changed all my narrative and made me stronger, bolder, more fearless which set the mood for the upcoming books.
