Love never comes with a manual, it is most of the unexpected ups and downs of a roller-coaster. How you feel, how deep you love constantly changes. Loving the heartbreaks, embracing everything love gives? I believe we should discuss about that.
So many favorites again in this book. Heartbroken, Wanna Stay Sober, Conquest, Butterfly and Stain are my favorite poems that speak volumes for anyone who had been in a toxic relationship, both are raw poetry that can be related easily-and i am terribly sorry for this. Necromany, Hunter are the opening poems of my dark poetry journey, a milestone of me learning about my own power, navigating in the dark. Stardust and Costumes have special place in my heart, Stardust and Self-Growth are the poems that have prepared me to make out with my rebel side, welcoming the feminine rage in me for the next book; I Am Not Here To Please The World.
Lipstick
You said ‘‘kill or die’’,
Pretty sure I was the easy target.
I whistle, smile like a Cheshire cat,
Dipping my middle finger in your blood
Painting a lipstick on my face.
Conquest
Like a conquest or a war,
All the things we do
To win the game of two
Called love.
